The Natural Edge Program

As spring approaches and the planting season comes to a head, the AWSA and Watersheds Canada are proud to continue working towards shoreline rehabilitation through the Natural Edge program. Last spring, Watershed Stewardship Groups planted 32 sites across the province, working alongside home and cottage owners in the rehabilitation and naturalization of their shorelines.

This year, the AWSA is focusing its efforts on rehabilitating the shorelines of creeks and rivers! We are looking for up to four sites. We hope to minimize erosion and stabilize the banks of the waters running through the Assiniboine Watershed. By participating in the Natural Edge program, you can ensure your waterbodies remain healthy so they can be enjoyed for generations to come.

There is no cost for participating in this project and the AWSA
takes care of the work start to finish!

Please contact the AWSA for more details or if interested by
